About the Event

The Information Systems and Technologies Expo is a national and international event hosted by İzmir Katip Çelebi University (İKÇÜ) and organised by Maven Events, Congress and Exhibitions Inc.

İKÇÜ was one of the eight partner universities involved in the Digital Innovation Collaboration Platform project initiated in 2022 under the leadership of the Presidential Digital Transformation Office. This project aimed to strengthen collaborations between academia, public institutions, and industry in the field of digital technologies. Additionally, in the same year, İKÇÜ was selected as one of eight pilot universities for the "Big Data in Higher Education Project" launched by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), playing a key role in the processes of digital transformation and technology development.

The Expo aims to contribute to Türkiye’s information technology ecosystem by developing projects aligned with the strategies of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. It highlights the locally developed and national projects of our university, such as the "University Information Management System (ÜBYS)" and the "University Cloud Computing System (ÜBBS)." The event also seeks to foster strong collaborations between public institutions and the private sector to drive innovative solutions in technology and information systems.

The inaugural 2025 expo supported knowledge sharing in areas such as information management systems, big data, cloud technologies, open-source software, artificial intelligence, enterprise solutions, and digital transformation. At the same time, it served as a vital platform for promoting national products and showcasing the technologies required by the sector.

Over two days, the #IST25 brought together 33 sponsors and exhibitors, 70 universities, 17 ministries and affiliated institutions; hosting 6 thematic sessions, 8 company workshops, 3 B2B sessions with nearly 200 bilateral meetings, as well as a special signing ceremony. In doing so, it contributed to the establishment of strong partnerships among universities, IT companies, and public institutions.

Building on this strong foundation, #IST26 expanded its impact by welcoming 72 universities, 19 ministries and affiliated institutions, and 18 sponsors and exhibiting companies. The event featured 6 thematic panel sessions and 3 B2B networking sessions focused on cloud technologies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, enterprise solutions, and data security. With the support of leading institutions and a highly engaged audience, #IST26 further strengthened Türkiye’s digital ecosystem and fostered new collaborations across the public and private sectors.

Following two successful editions, Information Systems and Technologies Expo continues its journey as one of Türkiye’s leading platforms for digital transformation and technological innovation. Looking ahead, #IST27 aims to bring together an even broader community of stakeholders, create new opportunities for collaboration, and contribute to shaping the future of information systems and technology.
